The story begins in 2022, nestled in the mountains of Yunnan, China, at an altitude of 1,200 meters.

Before that, like many others, we were accustomed to the richness of Brazilian coffee beans and the sweet and sour notes of South American beans. But when we stepped into that roastery hidden in a small mountain town, a distinct aroma greeted us—the unique earthy fragrance of Yunnan coffee beans.

It wasn't trying to compete with world-renowned producing regions, but rather, under that unique microclimate, it was roasted to produce a premium flavor with a herbal aroma and a mellow, sweet aftertaste. That flavor, like the land itself, was understated, pure, yet possessed an irreplaceable vitality.

During our stay at the roastery, the long wooden tables were filled with coffee enthusiasts who had come from afar.

We came from different cities, each with our own discerning palates. Although we had our own preferences regarding roasting levels and pour-over techniques, we discovered a striking commonality: we all loved coffee and were equally curious about the world.

On that afternoon, filled with the aroma of coffee, three like-minded people gathered:

One was a leather craftsman fascinated by the "warmth of fingertips," carrying his hand-stitched leather goods with him, his eyes brimming with dedication to craftsmanship.

Another was a graphic designer skilled in "visual language," his notebooks filled with dynamic T-shirt designs, always able to transform the mundane into art.

And I, immersed in the cultural transmission and brand dreams behind coffee beans.

During our enthusiastic conversation, a bold idea suddenly struck us:

"Why not bring together all the things we love? Not just selling coffee, but conveying this attitude of 'loving travel, appreciating life, and respecting craftsmanship.'"

This is how Discoverer was born. We decided to create a space to bring together Yunnan beans, warm leather, and design-conscious clothing.
